Short-lived headlines by the Associated Press and other news outlets show indifference for Jewish victims of the Jerusalem Light Rail terror attack and sympathy for the Hamas terrorist.

The news spread fast when a Hamas terrorist plowed his car into a crowd of innocent civilians at the Jerusalem Light Rail. The murderous rampage, which Hamas has proudly praised, resulted in the death of three-month old Chaya Zisel Braun while seriously wounding nine others. What did the Associated Press (AP) and other media outlets like Yahoo News report in the wake of this terrible tragedy?

Within minutes, other news sites picked up the story from AP and posted similarly inaccurate headlines.

Europe's Alarming New Anti-Semitism

Attacks and hateful rhetoric against Jews are on the rise - and it's not just Jews who should worry.

This year, Europe's Jews enter Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year, with a degree of apprehension I have not known in my lifetime. Anti-Semitism has returned to Europe within living memory of the Holocaust. Never again has become ever again.

A Hate Incident in LA

This is a re-post from aish.com by Elon Gold

Last Friday night, instead of having my usual guests for a festive Friday night dinner in my home, I had three compassionate Los Angeles Police Department officers standing in my kitchen explaining the difference between a “hate crime” and a “hate incident.” My family was the victim of the latter.

We were walking home in Los Angeles after a Friday night dinner at a friend’s house, dressed nicely for Shabbat, easily identifiable as a Jewish family. We waited for a light to change on a corner of a major intersection when a black Mercedes SUV pulled up alongside us. Four Middle-Eastern men in their 20s were in the car. The one in the back rolled down his window and yelled, “Free Palestine!”

Why can’t we learn from this history???

Why can't we learn from this history???
by Todd Ferguson

Just some edifying things to put some of today's world chaos into perspective ...

In 1784 and 1785, the “Dey of Algiers,” an Ottoman (Turkish) Muslim, warlord in Algiers and other Morrocan muslims pirates from Algiers and Libya boarded, seized three U.S. ships and imprisoned the sailors as slaves. In 1786, Thomas Jefferson (and John Quicy Adams too) were sent to London to negotiate a treaty with the Dey’s ambassador, Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman. An agreement was made to pay ransom for the sailors in return for the promise of no further attacks. In responding to Congress to authorize the funds to pay the ransom, Jefferson was asked why these attacks were happening when the U.S. had no previous contact with these countries and rulers. Jefferson’s response stated:

“…that it (the Muslim faith) was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise.”
